Canadian Dental Care Plan

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) aims to help cover costs of various oral health care services and reduce financial barriers to accessing care for eligible Canadian residents who do not have access to dental coverage.

To be eligible to enroll in CDCP you must meet the following:

  • have no access to dental insurance;
  • an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000;
  • be a Canadian resident for tax purposes; and
  • have filed a tax return in the previous year.

In order to qualify, you must meet ALL eligible criteria listed above.

Seniors aged 87 and above Started December 2023
Seniors aged 77 to 86 Started January 2024
Seniors aged 72 to 76 Started February 2024
Seniors aged 70 to 71 Started March 2024
Seniors aged 65-70 Started May 2024

The CDCP will be managed by Sun Life. Once enrolled, you will receive a welcome package in the mail which will include:

  • information on the CDCP
  • your member card
  • your coverage start date
